“Rwesana has been an integral part of the Cash In Transit Industry journey since the year 2017. When the country saw a massive spike in the number of CIT robberies and an increase in the number of staff who lost their lives in these violent attacks, Rwesana stepped up.
Rwesana through the leadership of its Director Madelyn Senekal and later Joanna Summers and Stephanie Wohlters assisted in bringing all parties together through a Joint Operations and Intelligence structure where Industry, law enforcement, and other agencies came together in the fight against the CIT crime.
During the first few years of this initiative, it was decided to establish a CIT Industry body that would play a more permanent role and CITASA was introduced as a non-profit establishment governed by a constitution involving its founding members FCS, G4S, and SBV.
It was through this entire period that Rwesana played a strategic part in the establishment of CITASA through the operational stage to a fully-fledged business that is today well recognised as the Voice of the Industry.
Rwesana has and continues to deliver a highly professional service through its dedication in supporting CITASA and so doing the wider stakeholder group in the Cash Value Chain in South Africa.”
